Materials & Craftsmanship

The choices behind every GrandTour creation

From the beginning, we understood that an idea alone would not be enough. To create jewelry with a true identity, we needed materials capable of expressing beauty, lightness, durability, colour, and a deep connection with Italian craftsmanship.

Our research led us across Italy, through workshops, artisans, and suppliers, in search of the right techniques and materials to bring our vision to life. This journey continues today, guiding GrandTour Collection toward new forms, finishes, and design solutions while remaining faithful to its origins.

Every material we use is chosen with care: not only for its appearance, but for the role it plays in the character, quality, and longevity of each jewel.

Resin

Resin allows us to work with colour, depth, and relief in a distinctive way. We use a high-quality resin chosen for its glass-like appearance, lightness, and resistance.

Through an artisanal process, pigments, metallic powders, and selected elements are combined to create unique shades, reflections, and effects. Every formula requires precision, balance, and experience.

The result is a solid, lightweight, resistant material, rich in artistic expression. Over time, a subtle surface patina may appear, adding depth and character, much like the surface of ancient gems.

Bronze

We chose bronze for its history, strength, and warm tone, close to gold. It is one of the most ancient metals used by great civilizations, from classical sculpture to decorative arts.

For GrandTour Collection, bronze represents an ideal balance between heritage, beauty, and accessibility. It gives structure and substance to our jewels while preserving the possibility of restoration over time.

Our bronze elements are created through the lost-wax casting technique, an ancient artisanal process that allows us to obtain detailed forms with depth and character. After casting, each component is finished, polished, and inspected by hand, enhancing the material and ensuring the final quality of the jewel.

Unlike many alloys commonly used in mass-produced costume jewelry, bronze can be repaired, re-polished, and restored, allowing each piece to accompany its wearer for many years.

18kt Gold Plating

Our jewels are finished with 18kt gold plating, which gives brightness, warmth, and elegance while helping protect the bronze beneath.

The durability of plating depends on how the jewel is worn and cared for. Contact with perfumes, creams, soaps, perspiration, or chemical substances may affect the surface over time; for this reason, we recommend treating each piece with care and storing it properly.

Thanks to the bronze base, the gold plating can be renewed when necessary, extending the life and beauty of the jewel.

Plexiglass

Plexiglass brings modernity, colour, and lightness to the collection. Appreciated for its transparency, gloss, resistance, and comfort, it allows us to create jewels that feel contemporary, luminous, and unexpected.

Its wide range of colours represents one of the most distinctive features of GrandTour Collection: the possibility of combining subjects inspired by antiquity with a modern, vibrant, and lightweight material.

Expressive and comfortable to wear, Plexiglass allows us to enclose the dialogue between antiquity and modernity in jewels of surprisingly light weight.

Made in Italy

Every component we use, from the smallest detail to the most visible element, is selected, produced, and crafted in Italy.

For us, Made in Italy is not simply a label. It is a way of working: a commitment to quality, craftsmanship, attention to detail, and direct collaboration with Italian artisans and workshops.

Each GrandTour creation is born from this balance: artistic memory, material research, Italian craftsmanship, and a contemporary sense of beauty.

To know our materials is to understand the care, research, and intention behind every GrandTour creation.
