A material that transforms — the plexiglass beneath the bezel takes Dionysus in a direction that belongs to him. The ring body is light, fluid, more contemporary — the god of transformation on a material that finds its expressive path in this ring. The neoclassical intaglio is of extraordinary quality, full of detail, deep, and the head fills the circular setting perfectly.
This ring has a modernity and at the same time an absolute classicism. It takes the proportions of a chevalier ring with the volumes and dimensions of a completely new jewel — important despite its harmonious and unobtrusive dimensions. Its roundness, the gilded bronze of the circular bezel and the intaglio create a whole that the name of the model evokes perfectly: mystery and fascination.
The renewal continues — the material changes, the light changes, the god expresses his essence.
Sand in the cameo on ivory is placid; on tortoiseshell the veins align in warm tonal accord; and on black, through the gold of the rim, the contrast is softened.
Through azure Dionysus speaks in a colour with the vitality of the full daytime sky — which ivory accentuates, tortoiseshell accompanies, and black emphasises with its depth.
With green the reference is to nature, to sacred woodlands, to the element closest to the god of free nature — alongside black it tells of the depth of invisible roots and vitality; ivory is the joy of that same vitality in full daylight; tortoiseshell is completeness, like a plant with its trunk and its leaves vibrant and saturated.
Pearl softens the features, almost declaring the peak moment of energy that vibrates across every material: the ivory base yields with its warm tones; tortoiseshell heightens the contrast; but with the gold of the bezel and pearl's luminosity everything becomes harmonious — and black emphasises, giving Dionysus presence through the different light effects across every surface of the jewel.
Every combination renews the expression.

Also commonly known by his Roman name, Bacchus appears to be a god who has two distinct origins. On the one hand, Dionysus was the god of wine, agriculture, and fertility of nature, and is also the patron god of the Greek stage. On the other hand, he also represents the outstanding features of mystery religions, such as those practiced at Eleusis. According to one myth, Dionysus is the son of the god Zeus and the mortal woman Semele (daughter of Cadmus of Thebes). Semele is killed by Zeus’ lightning bolts while Dionysus is still in her womb. The festival for Dionysus was held in the spring when vines would start bearing leaves. It became one of the most important events of the year and its primary focal point was the theater. Most of the great Greek plays were initially written to be performed during the feast of Dionysus. All participants, writers, actors, spectators, were regarded as his sacgred servants during the festival.
