This sculptural relief merges perfectly with the highly luminous gold-finished bronze base of the Lux Ring, transforming the metal into a precious frame that amplifies the communicative charge of a jewel that becomes a mirror for every person.

We wanted a ring with a different tone, and here the focus is entirely on bronze worked with lost-wax casting, a classical goldsmith’s technique that gives the jewel an altogether different character. A ring like this displayed in a shop window has a completely different aesthetic impact: on any support this volume shines, and the colour of any intaglio set upon it takes on a new presence. With the Virile Profile even more so, because it is a face with striking features, a very high relief, something deeply expressive. It is a small sculpture with its own spotlight, drawing out the story of a life in which we recognise ourselves. It was fascinating to see it set into this ring, from the very first exhibition.

Wearing it means embracing a solid and full material, one that follows every movement with a surprising fluidity.
