The circular bezel of the EOS ring, in gilded bronze cast in lost wax and polished by hand, carries Minerva turned to the left. The classic helmet, the olive crown, the owl — the eighteenth-century intaglio gathers around the profile the symbols that have identified this goddess for centuries, with a millimetric definition that the mirror-polished surface brings into full light. The two sections at the base of the ring open and adjust with ease: each finger finds its own fit. The owl and the olive branches carry the vocabulary of a goddess who governs through ingenuity and sees in the dark where others stop. The contrast between the gilded metal and the coloured matter ignites the profile: three symbols around the same face, a gaze turned inward. In this version Minerva is seen in the instant before the decision — the thought still taking shape, the direction ripening in silence. Classical art has kept this harmony across the centuries — and the profile brings it back intact, in this intaglio, on this bezel. In each colour the cameo tells its story differently. Orange brings solar vitality — the warmth of the pigment plays against the composure of the profile, the portrait ignites. Pearl radiates a gentle, discreet light: gilded bronze and pigment merge into a soft harmony, like marble seen in backlight. Black deepens the profile and makes it resonate — every line gaining weight and density. Pink carries its tempered passion: warmth and tenderness together, an unexpected dialogue with the goddess’s concentration. Minerva to the left. The gaze that turns back, the thought that remains.

Minerva left side

Lead with wisdom.

The Roman goddess of wisdom, medicine, the arts, dyeing, science and trade, but also of war. As Minerva Medica she is the patroness of physicians. She is the daughter of Jupiter. In the temple on the Capitoline Hill she was worshipped together with Jupiter and Juno, with whom she formed a powerful triad of gods. Another temple of her was located on the Aventine Hill. The church of Santa Maria sopra Minerva is built on one of her temples. Every year from March 19 - 23 the Quinquatria was held, the primary Minerva festival. This festival was mainly celebrated by artisans but also by students. On June 13 the minor Quinquatrus was observed. Minerva is believed to be the inventor of numbers and musical instruments. She is thought to be of Etruscan origin, as the goddess Minerva. Later she was equated with the Greek Athena. Paris Louvre - Munich Glyptothek - London British Museum
