The symbol of Rome — the she-wolf nursing Romulus and Remus — in the round bezel of the AURA ring carries the sculptural density of 18kt gold-plated bronze. The wolf’s body fills the entire circular space, the twins beneath her, every detail legible in the intaglio: the tension of the animal’s body, the fragility of the twins. The ring body is plexiglass — the founding story resting on a contemporary material.
The round bezel distributes light uniformly across the entire relief — the scene reads from every angle. The ring sits lightly on the finger, the plexiglass shank adapting with ease. The GTc signature is engraved on the bezel.
On black, the wolf lifts from darkness as from a Roman night, every detail in clean contrast: black on black is Rome at its most silent, history looking inward; gold is full consonance, tone on tone, warm light; pearl is the soft light of morning — gentle, intimate, the most gathered version of the scene; red is the tenderness of the gesture, the wolf that nourishes, protection becoming a caress. On tortoiseshell, the veins of the plexiglass run differently in every piece — tight or soft gradations that recall the earth, the soil from which the foundation springs: every ring carries an unrepeatable pattern, and over it black strengthens the story, gold warms it, pearl softens it, red gives it human warmth. On ivory, the warm white wraps every combination with quiet precision: black gives the sharpest contrast; gold dialogues with the material’s warm undertones; pearl creates intimacy; red recalls the tenderness of the gesture. Every combination renews the expression.
The founding of Rome on the finger — three thousand years of weight, carried with the lightness of someone who knows where they come from.

The Capitoline Wolf (Italian: Lupa Capitolina) is a bronze sculpture of a she-wolf suckling twin human infants, inspired by the legend of the founding of Rome. According to the legend, when Numitor, grandfather of the twins Romulus and Remus, was overthrown by his brother Amulius, the usurper ordered the twins to be cast into the Tiber River. They were rescued by a she-wolf who cared for them until a herdsman, Faustulus, found and raised them. The Capitoline Wolf has been housed since 1471 in the Palazzo dei Conservatori on the Campidoglio (the ancient Capitoline Hill), Rome, Italy.
