Venus is in motion. On the chariot drawn by sea horses, reins in hand, she crosses the scene with the fluidity of one who knows her own sea. The spots of the Dalmatian around her move like foam, the curves of the ring follow the relief. Everything moves: the black and white of the ground accompanies the journey.

Venus is the goddess of love and of movement. On this Dalmatian love takes on rhythm: ironic, sophisticated, lively as the sea in which she advances. The spotted black and white is her element — waves, foam, graphic rhythm — and the goddess crosses with grace but also with strength. The chariot moves on, always.

The Dalmata’s pattern surrounds Venus’s movement as the water surrounds the chariot — black and white like waves and foam. The brilliant finish brings light to the scene: the sea horses, the creatures of the sea with her, the goddess seated with her body turned toward the observer and her gaze on the horizon. The gold-plated bronze of the bezel holds the moment together.

White is the foam of the sea at departure — the journey begins, all is in full light. Pale Blue opens the sky above the water, the horizon widens and the chariot moves on serene. Porphyry brings the sunset that warms — the deep colour of the sea in its glow, love ancient and alive. Pink is the dawn on Venus’s skin — the light that paints even before the day arrives.

In every colour Venus makes her journey, each time different. And in every journey whoever wears the ring carries with them the same thing: their own sea.
