This is a pure carving: an animal incised by someone centuries ago for the love of form, of strength, of meaning, and of beauty in itself. The bull is the embodiment of a Greco-Roman divinity, a symbol that crosses civilisations. As antiquarians, we had so often had the chance to observe these objects up close, and so we decided to bring them back to life with the materials we were exploring for our creations — resins, plasters, countless other substances we studied to achieve vibrant, vivid, full tones, and bronze, worked with the complexity of the finest goldsmiths, the very same craft behind the sculptures that have crossed the centuries. We wanted to pay homage to the allure of the ancient object, to that patina of time someone guarded and handed down to us, while restoring the colours of its origins — those of classical statues, which were often polychrome, full of life, the very ones we now so often see completely white in museums or private collections. And so this piece of jewellery took shape. We imagined it worn, and one day, from the shop window, someone chose it. At that moment the bull truly came alive — its energy passed to the one who wore it, and the one who wore it reignited it.

The ring is light — barely a few grams — yet it has an immediate, commanding presence. The intaglio shows a bull in full motion: legs, body, head, everything rising from precise, fine touches. The figure breathes inside the oval frame, given all the room it needs, and from that freedom comes the animal’s entire agility. Fluid and exact at once — with the slightest marks, a creature charged with strength emerges. The bull belongs to no era. We recognise it instantly, sense it before we even look closely — it has lived in our imagination for as long as we can remember. Yet here it reveals something entirely new: a classical subject meets a contemporary material, and the result is something that resonates now.

The lightness of the material heightens it — plexiglass this smooth, with colours this saturated, captures the vitality of the subject perfectly. In each pairing of intaglio colour and the gold-plated bronze oval that surrounds it, every shift in the relief tells its own story. The orange, black and white bases are full and absolute, with a density that sits well alongside the essence of the cameo. Each combination creates new stories — red, green, white and black are colours that speak to the heart of this carving. They recall nature, shadow, light, woodland, the vitality that runs through every living thing. Simply watch how they interact to find the accord that feels most yours. An intensely modern piece, charged with revitalising energy, thanks to the colour harmonies and the story we sense behind it.

Each piece comes to life at the moment of purchase and is handcrafted especially for you.

Dionysian bull

Embrace your wild strength.

Bacchus was the son of Jupiter, by Semele, daughter of the king of Thebes, in whose city he is said to have been born. He was the god of good-cheer, wine, and hilarity; and of him, as such, the poets have not been sparing in their praises: on all occasions of mirth and jollity, they constantly invoked his presence, and as constantly thanked him for the blessings he bestowed. To him they ascribed the forgetfulness of cares, and the delights of social interaction. He is described as a youth of a plump figure, naked, with a ruddy face, and an effeminate air; he is crowned with ivy and vine leaves, and bears in his hand a thyrsus, or javelin with an iron head, encircled with ivy and vine leaves: his chariot is sometimes drawn by lions, at other times by tigers, leopards, or panthers, and is surrounded by a band of Satyrs, Bacchae, and Nymphs. The women who accompanied him as his priestesses were called Maenads, from their madness; Thyades, from their impetuosity; Bacchae, from their intemperate depravity; and Mimallones, or Mimallonides, from their mimicking their leaders.
